Inclusion in the classroom.
We work closely with educators in mainstream settings and support them with evidence based approaches to meet the needs of their students with disabilities and/or diverse learning needs in the school environment.
Inclusive practices
Inclusion is not just about having children with disabilities sitting together in a classroom. It is about creating inclusivity for them within the classroom setting amongst their peers. We discuss with you how this is possible in every day classroom situations through simple tools, tricks and strategies, all from the perspective of an educator.
united nation convention on the rights of persons with disabilities (uncrpd)
Our beliefs are streamlined with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). The Convention states that “all persons with all types of disabilities must enjoy all human rights and fundamental freedoms”.
It is our duty of care to ensure adaptations and modifications are carried out to support persons with disabilities to “effectively exercise their rights and areas where their rights have been violated, and where protection of rights must be reinforced”.
We believe all our clients have:
the same rights as anybody to be included in society
are to be respected for who they are
are to have equal opportunities and equal access
are not to be discriminated against and,
have the freedom to make their own choices
Therefore supporting our children with disabilities within the classroom and school settings through inclusion is not a want but rather a must. It is a necessity to ensure that we do it to uphold their basic human rights.

aitsl & australian professional standards for teachers
We deliver professional development in line with the AITSL’s Professional Standards for Teachers to promote and improve teaching and learning for children with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
In the State of Victoria, as part of the government’s Special Needs Plan, teachers are now required to build their capacity to teach learners with disability. Along with our professional development, we are able to support educators across the region in developing their skill sets to ensure inclusive teaching takes place within their classrooms and in their schools.
